Terms and Conditions

To help ensure that we all know the ground rules prior to making a booking, we have drawn up some terms and conditions that apply to all persons staying at Les Chaumieres Campagnardes.

We, the owners, promise to ensure that your accommodation is clean, safe and ready for your occupation by 16:00hrs on the date of arrival. Any issues regarding your accommodation will be dealt with within 24hrs wherever possible. We also guarantee that every effort will be made to maintain a quiet, safe and tranquil environment throughout your stay. In return we expect a few simple rules to apply for our guests.

The payment of a non-refundable deposit of £100GBP or 150Euro per week, per property secures a booking. A provisional booking will be held for 10 days. Acceptance of the booking is subject to receipt of the deposit or full payment, together with the booking form duly signed. The signature of the hirer (lead booker) on the booking form confirms that he/she has read, accepts and agrees to be responsible for each member of his/her party.

Payment should be made by cheque, payable to Mr & Mrs R Taylor or by credit card through www.paypal.com (4% Transaction Charge will apply)

An electronic receipt will be sent by return. It is your responsibility to check the details on the form. If there is a mistake on the form, please advise us immediately, so that it can be rectified without delay.

The balance is due 8 weeks prior to the commencement date.

If a booking is made within 6 weeks of the commencement date, then full payment is required at the time of booking.

If you wish to cancel a booking at any stage, we must be notified in writing. Failure to do so means, you are responsible for the full cost of the holiday.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have adequate travel, health and cancellation insurance for your holiday.

A ‘Good Housekeeping Deposit’ of £100 GBP or 150Euro per gite is required with the balance payment. This is to protect us against breakages and damage. In most cases these breakages are the occasional glass or plate. Rather than deduct from your Good Housekeeping Deposit you can ‘pay as you go’. We have a limited supply of plates and glasses and will be able to replace the breakage with a similar item. The Good Housekeeping Deposit will be returned to you in full within 7 working days of your departure, unless there are deductions to be made.

“No Smoking” - Smoking is not allowed in the gites. This is to maintain a clean and smoke free environment, and to ensure the safety of all our guests. Candles or other lighted items are not allowed inside the properties, except on the rare occasions of a power failure. It is with regret that we also need to inform you, that if it is found that smoking has taken place inside the gite, then there will be a 50 Euro charge for airing/cleaning. Upon your departure a final inspection will be carried out, and breakages or damage must be paid for, or will be deducted from the Good Housekeeping Deposit.

“Pets” – Not allowed, except for guide dogs used for sight or hearing impairment.

Accommodation Services;

q The holiday price includes an allowance for gas and electricity, and wood in wintertime only.

q The accommodation will be ready by 16:00 on date of arrival, and must be vacated by 10:00 on date of departure.

q Cots, high chair and stair gates are available at no extra cost, but must be reserved at the time of booking.

q All bed linen is provided.

q We do not supply towels or tea towels.

q The property is to be left in the same state of repair & cleanliness upon your departure as you found it. You do have an option for us employing a cleaner on your behalf to do the final clean. For a standard clean the Lodge & Croft it is 50Euro and the Cottage is 40Euro, to be paid on arrival. If the clean exceeds the standard clean then the extra cost of the cleaner will be deducted from your Good House Keeping deposit.

We live in a rural area. Our neighbours are fantastic and we do not wish to upset them hence, amplified music can only be played outside of your property up to 23:00. If you wish to carry on your chat/party after 23:00 then we would respectfully request you move further down the garden out of earshot of our nearest neighbour.
